Onion flowers

I did not know flowers of chives, a different type of onions. However, I remembered that last year we threw seeds in the wind. When the first lilac flowers appeared , I started to smell .. Yeah. … Onions…Last year, I found a potato plantation in Åland, a Swedish island and the flowers enchanted me.

Greetings from Colorado. I am liking how the background is blurry, but the focus is on the flower.

Chives or onions go well with roses, they keep the aphids away.
Grace, was that you who posted those lovely purple flowering fields of potatoes last year? If so, please post them again. They were simply stunning!

Great idea Grace! There is beauty in their blooms too on top of their usefulness.

(I might go out today and post a long awaited letter to you. Today is my daughter’s Wedding First Anniversary. I might go to see them.)
